Arthur McCune was the oldest son of E.P. McCune. He married Hazel Braun in 1915
and lived in a log house built on Elder McCune land.
In 1918 he bought 160 acres and built a house on his own land and cleared it to
start farming. He had to travel on a logging road through timber and marsh which
is now County Trunk G.
Arthur had two sons, Richard and Roland. His wife died in 1926 and he raised the
boys alone until 1936 when he sold his farm to Frank Volovsek Jr. who still
lives on the land.
