Joe Mikottos was born in September 1886 in Trieste, Italy. He came to the United
States and settled in Joliet, Illinois in 1911. Some years later he came to
Greenwood. He was a shoemaker by trade.
Agatha Medvesek was born January 23, 1891 in Sevnica, Jugoslavia. She came to
the U.S. in 1912.
They had ten children: Stanley (married to Josephine Kaltinger), John, Scotty,
Joe, Mary, Sylvia, Ann, Martha (married to John Hribar), Agatha, and Betty.
