John was a brother to Matt Romosh. He came from Rock Springs, Wyoming with Tony Dolence who was a brother to Mrs. Matt Romosh, in about 1911. John bought 40 acres south side of the South Mound. He built a shack and spent his life trapping. He was married in Rock Springs and had two daughters. His wife and daughters died of typhoid fever in Wyoming in 1908. He then moved to Willard after the death of his family. John died in 1922 of tuberculosis.
