Halopka, Harry H. (14 December 1914 - 17 January 1982)

DORCHESTER - Services were today at the Hemer Funeral Home for Harry H. Halopka, 67, Route 1, Dorchester, town of Mayville. He died Sunday at Memorial Hospital of Taylor County, where he had been admitted only a few hours earlier.

Officiating was the Rev. William Green, pastor of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial was in Medford Evergreen Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers were Howard and Larry Neuenfeldt, Jim and Richard Halopka and Bill Gebauer.

Mr. Halopka was born December 14, 1914 in the town of Browning, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank (Alma Giese) Halopka, Sr. He attended the Medford area school and was employed at various times with Weatherschield Manufacturing in Medford and also the Northern Door Co. and Lincoln Wood Co. in Merrill. Ill health forced his retirement in 1972.

He married the former Leona Krueger October 7, 1949 in Milwaukee. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Dennis, Dorchester; four brothers, Frank, Medford, Earl, Bartlett, Illinois, Ray, Stetsonville, and Eugene, Dorchester; and three sisters, Mrs. Martin (Alma) Fiebke, Naples, Florida, and Mrs. Wellington (Shirley) Kleist and Mrs. Norman (Ann) Gebauer, both of Medford.

He was predeceased by a sister.
