McCullough, Patricia L. (1 DEC 1947 – 16 AUG 2020)
Patricia L. McCullough, 72, Greenwood, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug.
16, 2020, at Marshfield Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. A
memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Aug. 29, at Missionary
Baptist Church in Greenwood, with Rev. Geoff Smith officiating. Visitation will
be held at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Patricia Lynn Turski was born on Dec. 1, 1947, in Milwaukee, to Stanley A. and
Audrey (nee Lang) Turski. She was raised in the Milwaukee area until the age of
11, when her family moved to Spokane, Wash. Patricia completed her education in
Spokane, graduating from Rogers High School in 1966. She was united in marriage
to Clayton E. McCullough on May 1, 1971, in Spokane. Since her husband was in
the U.S. Army, they moved often, but returned to the Spokane area after his
discharge and settled on a hobby farm north of the city. Patricia was a true
pioneer woman. She loved to raise a big garden, can all of her own food, and
loved to cook and bake. Patricia did work out of the house as a head cook at a
restaurant in Chewelah, Wash., and as a seamstress at the Fred Astaire Dance
Studio in Spokane. In 1993, she and her husband moved to Clark County, and
settled in Greenwood in 1995, where she resided until her death. She had many
interests, but especially loved being with her grandchildren, painting,
crocheting mittens for school kids, horses and dogs, fishing, camping, and being
outdoors.
Patricia will be dearly missed by her daughters: April (Leslie) Gorton and
Heather (Chad) Durrstein, both of Greenwood; dear friends: Candy (John) Gutowski
of Withee; 12 grandchildren; two siblings: Jim Brickner and Jeannine Tipke, both
of Spokane, Wash.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father: Gregory Brickner; her
husband, Clayton, on April 24, 2001; her son: Gregory Allen McCullough in
infancy; and one sister: Karen Myrick.
