Mr. and Mrs. E.O. Leonard, of this city, were honored on their golden wedding anniversary last Sunday, when their neighborhood friends surprised them at a little coffee hour, in their honor.

Mr. and Mrs. Leonard were married in Humbird, Wisconsin, on April 2, 1913. Just one month later they came to Montana, on May 2^nd, taking up a homestead about nine miles north of Virgelle in the Spring Coulee section, where they lived for many years. We note that back in 1948, the Spring Coulee neighbors helped them celebrate their 35^th wedding anniversary.

The Leonards retired from the farm in 1949, and moved to Fort Benton, where they have since resided.

Friends in this county will wish them the best on attainment of the fiftieth milestone of their married life.
