Clarence H. Perry, 65, of Fort Benton and Great Falls, died Thursday at the St. Clare hospital here. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at First English Lutheran church in Great Falls, with burial in Highland cemetery. Rev. Charles Anderson officiated.

Mr. Perry was born June 10, 1905, in Thorp, Wisconsin, and came to Great Falls in 1933 as a land department representative of a St. Paul bank. Later, he established his own real estate and insurance business and also entered farming, Perry Farms east of here, in 1964 led the state of Montana and was 24^th in the nation in number of registered Poland China breeding stock.

Mr. Perry was one of Montana’s leading promoters in development of a swine industry. He served a number of terms as president of the North Montana Swine Growers and was a past president of the Montana Pork Producers. At the time of his death he was chairman of the swine subcommittee of the Montana rural areas development committee.

For eight years he operated a state testing station at the farm east of Fort Benton, discontinued in 1969. In 1968, he was honored by the little international livestock show at Bozeman for service to farm and community organizations.

He served as president of the Montana Young Democrats in the late 1930s and later was chairman of both Great Falls and Cascade county democratic central committees. He was a delegate to the democratic national convention in 1960. Mr. Perry also had served as a member of the great Falls housing authority, was a past president of the Great Falls Quarterbacks club and past chairman of the Great Falls area Chamber of Commerce athletic committee.

Survivors include his wife, the former Theresa Anderson, and three sons, Dean Perry, Cut Bank, Loran A. Perry, Fort Benton, and Denzel, in Texas.
