Mr. John Trunkel II was born in the village of Gradicek, parish of Kirka near Sticni. He came to America in 1907. His wife Lyda was born in Marseilles, Illinois. They were married in 1916 in Ottawa, Illinois. Born to them were two sons and a daughter. Mr. Trunkel first Came to Morris, Illinois. He worked there 13 years. In 1922 he purchased land in Willard and started farming, pioneer style. He lived in Willard until his death.

John III lives in Marshfield. Rudy is deceased. The farm is now owned by Mr. Roger Kirn.
