NEILLSVILLE - A contest has developed for the post of fifth ward alderman in the
city of Neillsville. The new candidate, however, is not yet a resident of the
city.
Jeffrey Martin, who resides south of Neillsville some two miles on Highway 73,
has filed nomination papers and plans to be a resident of the city, and of that
ward.
According to City Clerk William Gallagher, he must become a resident of that
ward 10 days before the election.
Martin is opposing Joseph Wavrunek who is a veteran councilman and currently
served as president of the council.
Other's whose term expire and who are unopposed for re-election are Martin
Feuerstein, first ward alderman; and Walter Brown, alderman of the second ward.
