The Dorchester Lions held their monthly meeting at the Dorchester ball field
pavilion. Members maintained six foot distance and wore masks due to COVID-19.
Dick Hunsader, who has been a Lions member for almost 60 years, was presented
with the Birch-Sturm Fellowship Award. He served as president for three terms
and cabinet secretary/treasurer to past District Governor Adolf Gorke.
Hunsader has also served on the audit committee numerous times, and helped with
the charity ball, casino night, Dorchester Days, the pork loin supper, spaghetti
supper and many other Lions projects throughout the years. He was truly
deserving of this award.
Paula Ruesch was there to install new officers for the upcoming year as well.
They are Lion tamer Angie Miller, tail twister Aggie Danen, directors Dick Rau,
Eileen Keller, Al Pinter and Carolyn Golz; first vice president Sheala Pinter,
second vice president Judy Rau, third vice president Angie Miller, treasurer
Richard Bartnik, secretary Kathy Pinter, and president Grace Dietel-Ensign, who
also serves as zone chair.
