John "Happy" Routar was a bricklayer who lived in the village of Willard. He made walls for many houses and barns, and chimneys for many homes. Valentine Jeras was also a mason and bricklayer. Matt Bombach and Mike Podobnik were well known for concrete work in all of the Willard area.

Henry Trybula was a carpenter who did a lot of work around Willard. Later on he became John Scharenbrock Sr.'s son-in-law. David Holsinger was a very early stone mason and carpenter.
