Frank Kristof lived on what now known as the Volk farm in Gorman country,
southwest of Willard, which at that time was along the Foster Railroad between
Tioga and Willard. He probably was the first professional painter in the Willard
area. Later came Frank Jeras, Frank Cerne, Frank Peroshek, Joseph Bayuk, J. F.
Trunkel, Martin Kokaly and John Snedic. There were many new buildings to be
painted and these men took very good care of their jobs.
