Janicki, Corinne Evelyn (18 September 1950 – 7 September 2020)

Corinne Janicki, age 69, of Neillsville, died Monday, September 7, 2020 in the Intensive Care Unit of the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield.

Corinne Evelyn Hill was born on September 18, 1950 in Prairie du Chien, the daughter of Virgil and Lavinia (Jaynes) Hill. She received her GED. She was united in marriage to Ted “Butch” Janicki Jr. on May 17, 1985 in Alma Center.

Corinne was the treasurer for the Town of Dewhurst for many years. She was a great cook and always had the coffee on and treats ready. She had a passion for traveling and seeing new places, but her family and friends were always the most important part of her life. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them how to bake cookies and make pie crust.

She is survived by her husband, Ted “Butch” Janicki Jr., children, Amy (John Mayer) Janicki of Neillsville, and Cheryl (Jay Gallagher) Slaughter of Sebring, FL, a daughter-in-law, Kayleen (Dave) Rosman of Fairchild, grandchildren, Danielle Slaughter of Racine, Jacob (Arielle) Slaughter of Portland, OR, Jenna (Emmi Monka) Slaughter of Portland, OR, Kora and McKenzie Eastlick of Neillsville, and Temprince Mayer of Neillsville, six great grandchildren and siblings, Penny (Clayton) Moen of Janesville, Peter (Fran) Dohse of Prairie du Chien, and Dennis (Joyce) Hill of Boyceville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Lavinia Hill, a son, Chris Slaughter Jr. and a nephew, David Hill.

Corinne was loved and will be dearly missed by many.

A Memorial Service for Corinne will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Riviera Pub and Grille in Hatfield. Fr. Eric Awortwe-Dadson will officiate the service. A Celebration of Life will be from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19th at the Riviera. Interment will be in the Dells Dam Cemetery at a later date.
