Schuette, Marvin Carl (14 January 1936 – 1 September 2020)
Marvin C. Schutte, age 84, of Withee, peacefully passed away at his home on
Tuesday, September 1, 2020 surrounded by his family.
Marvin Carl Schutte was born on January 14, 1936 in Neillsville, the son of
Alvin C. and Ethel M. (Durst) Schutte. He was raised on the family farm and
received his education in the Neillsville area. After completing school, Marvin
continued to work on the farm with his father.
He was united in marriage to Marie T. Collier on June 6, 1956 at St. Mary's
Catholic Church in Greenwood. Marvin worked at Short's Fur Farm in Neillsville
before moving to Algonquin, IL and working on a farm as a herdsman. They resided
in Illinois until moving to Baldwin, in 1972. Marvin spent most of his life
dairy farming, but he also was a salesman for Mason Shoes, DeKalb Seed, and
worked for American Breeding Service. After retiring, he moved to Withee, where
he resided until his death. He was a member of New Harvest Assembly of God
Church.
Marvin had many interests, but especially loved having his family around him,
farming, gardening, tractors, hunting, camping, 4-wheeling, going to thrashings,
auctions, garage sales, and the Minnesota State Fair. He was also a big fan of
the Green Bay Packers, the Chicago Cubs and Bears.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Marie, of Withee; 4 children: Therese
Schutte of Fridley, MN, Patrick (Wendy) of Brooklyn Park, MN, Norman (fiancé
Denise Larson) of New Richmond, Steve (Sheri) of Menomonie; 9 grandchildren; 16
great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Don (Evelyn) of Neillsville, Darryl (Nancy) of
Beloit; 2 sisters: Joanne St. John of Wisconsin Rapids, Diane Buettner of
Neillsville; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; one son, John, on August 23, 2016;
and one sister, Janice Stenulson.
Pallbearers will be Adam Schutte, Justin Schutte, Brayden Christensen, Bill
Buettner, Clifford Stenulson, Darryl Schutte and Rick Kramber.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at New
Harvest Assembly of God Church in Withee. Visitation will be held at the church,
on Thursday, from 9 a.m. until time of service. Pastor Faith Bosmans will
officiate, and burial will follow in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Willard.
