Strangfeld, Louis George (8 December 1947 – 5 September 2020)

Louis Strangfeld, 72, of Neillsville, died unexpectedly at home on September 5, 2020.

Louis George Strangfeld was born on December 8, 1947 at home in the Town of Weston (rural Neillsville) to Peter and Pauline (Tomlinson) Strangfeld, one of four sons. He attended Fairview School in rural Neillsville and graduated from Neillsville Highschool in 1965.

He worked several years for Nelson Muffler in Neillsville. Later he worked for Lynn Dairy, Granton, for a number of years.

Louis enjoyed spending time with his brothers, their families and many nieces and nephews. He had many hobbies over the years, including raising exotic birds, tropical fish and locksmithing. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Globe.

Louis was a caring and giving brother and uncle. He is survived by one brother, Arnold (Patti) Strangfeld of Nekoosa; sister-in-law, Louise Strangfeld of Neillsville; nieces and nephews, Michaela (Mike) Wilsmann of Marshfield; Matthew (Jennifer) Strangfeld of Kronenwetter; Tammy (Scott) Oberbeck of Tomah; Susan (Ivan) Pagel of Stevens Point; Roxanne (Scott) Schultz of Wisconsin Rapids, David (Michelle) Strangfeld, Tim (Lisa) Strangfeld, Peter (Angie) Strangfeld, and Sarah (Jason) Tompkins all of Nekoosa; and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert and Byrl and sister-in-law, Gloria, nieces and nephews, Belinda, Lynette, Karen and Mark.

A graveside service will be held at Neillsville City Cemetery on Saturday, September 19th at 1 P.M. Pastor Nathan Wilke will be officiating.
