Otto Roesler owned and operated a lumber yard in Willard at one time. It was
located north of Zallars store. Not too much is known about his operation except
that it was taken care of by Mr. Plautz from his store in the Cesnik building
from 1924 to 1926. Ed Hillert also managed this operation for a time and then it
was closed out.
The O & N Lumber Company yard was located next to the railroad tracks, northwest
of the depot. This was managed by E. J. Ingham at first, also Yule from
Fairchild, then others until Frank Klanchar took over the manage-ment. He stayed
there until they closed down and then he moved with it to Greenwood.
