Just to the north of Cornelius' Garage, Adolph Mundt built a blacksmith shop in
1919. It was a two story building with the blacksmith on the first floor and
paint shop on the second floor, where logging sleighs and wagons were painted.
This building was not burned in the fire of 1920. Other owners were: Allshech,
Steve Konik and Bauernfeind. This building was eventually torn down and is now a
parking lot for Bowen Hardware.
Adolph Mundt, Jr. "Ed" of Stetsonville helped paint logging sleighs at Mundt's
Blacksmith Shop & Farm Implements. The girls in town felt sorry for him...so
they would help him paint.
