Acheson, Hailey Jade (Birth – 1 July 1994)
Hailey Jade Acheson was born on July 1, 1994, at 11:49 a.m. on her Grandfather’s
birthday. She weighed six pounds and nine and one-half ounces and was 20 and
one-half inches long.
Her parents are Steve and Kelly Acheson of Neenah. Grandparents are Thomas and
Karen Flynn of Greenwood, and James and Joanne Acheson of Fond du Lac

Catlin, Sara (89th - 1986)
Bill Catlin of La Mesa, California and his sister, Elaine Blaettler of Spring
Valley, California arrived Wednesday to stay until February 3 at the home of
their sister, Mrs. Leon (Fern) Kuester and family, and with their mother, Sara
Catlin. The Kuester family, Bill Catlin and Mrs. Blaettler went to Marshfield
Friday to celebrate the 89th birthday of their mother and grandmother, Sara
Catlin, in the family room of the Marshfield Living Center.

Feuerstein, Martin (80th - 1986)
Relatives came on Saturday to help Martin Feuerstein celebrate his 80th
birthday. Birthday guests included Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Frank with daughters
Joan, Kris and Linda, Paul Ponnarenind, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kusel, Peter, Frank,
Liby and Rachel, all of Oshkosh; Lorraine Noll and Sarah, sons, Robert and Joe,
Sally Gilbert and Barbara Rohr, all of Two Rivers; Mrs. John Negaard of Stevens
Point; Mr. and Mrs. Kier Cline, daughter Honor and son Kier, Jr., Evanston,
Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Steve Frank, son Gary, of Kaukauna; Mrs. Robert Wood,
sons Mac and Josh, Appleton; and Tom Frank, from Madison. The group totaled 32
people. The Evanston folks were delayed an hour as there was a big accident on
the freeway and all said driving was not good. All enjoyed the get together and
Mrs. Feuerstein said their house was really full of folks for the celebration.
All returned to their homes Sunday.

Dr. and Mrs. Roger E. Heineck, 1004 E. 2nd St., Neillsville, announce the
forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kristin, to Dion I. Peterson. Mr.
Peterson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Peterson, 1233 Plumer St., Wausau. Ms.
Heineck graduated from Neillsville High School in 1981, attended St. Olaf
College, and will graduate May 1986, from UW-River Falls, with a degree in
animal science. Mr. Peterson is a 1977 graduate of Wausau East High School and
received a Water Resources-Fisheries degree in 1981 from UW-Stevens Point. He is
both self-employed and holds a position with Line-Tec, Inc., Wausau. The wedding
is planned for June 14, 1986, at Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau.

O’Konski, Della (91st – 1 January 1986)
January 1, 1986, brought many birthday greetings from friends and relatives for
Della O’Konski, including a card signed by President Reagan and Nancy. Della was
91 years of age on January 1, 1986. She lives with her son, Donald at Route 1,
Owen. An Owen area resident for the past 44 years, Della enjoys good health and
is kept busy keeping house, crocheting and watching soap operas. “My heart
skipped a beat,” said Della when she opened the birthday greeting from the
President and Mrs. Reagan. “”This is an honor I will share with my family,
especially my grandchildren and great grandchildren. I have framed the greeting,
so it will keep.” Della’s secret to 91 years of living is to “Always Keep Busy.”

Ott, Albert A., Airman (Service Notes - 1986)
Seaman Albert A. Ott, son of Wendel A. and Dorothy A. Ott of Rt. 1 Neillsville,
has graduated from the U.S. Air Force food service course at Lowry Air Force
Base, Colorado.
During the course, students were taught to plan, prepare and serve food while
maintaining kitchen and dining hall equipment. They also earned credits toward
an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Ott is scheduled to serve with the 18th Services squadron in Japan.
He is a 1985 graduate of Neillsville High School.

Several relatives and friends from this area attended the Open House at United
Church of Christ, January 25 in honor of Mrs. Carl (Florence) Spaete’s 85th
Birthday. The open house was given by her children. The Spaete family lived in
the Town of Washburn many years before Mrs. Spaete moved to Neillsville, after
the death of her husband.
