Pasek, Aneila “Nellie” (2 June 1895 – 27 January 1993)

Aneila “Nellie” Pasek, 97, died on Wednesday Jan. 27, 1993, at Pine View Nursing Home in Black River Falls.

She was born in Poland on June 2, 1895, to Antoni and Anna (Gigoin) Kluska. She worked in Germany prior to coming to the United States at age 18. She married John Pasek on Jan. 10, 1915, in Chicago, IL, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 1958. They farmed in the Bruce Mound area for many years.

Nellie especially enjoyed gardening and canning and was known for her love of singing and baking.

Survivors include her son, Joseph J. Pasek of Merrillan; three daughters, Clara Pasek of Merrillan, Lottie (Al) Bianchetto of Milwaukee and Martha (Bob) Longwitz of Waukesha; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, John, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Helen and two sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services for Aneila “Nellie” Pasek were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, at Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church in Alma Center. The Rev. David Ziegelmaier officiated, and the burial took place in Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Friends called at the Jensen Funeral Home in Hixton on Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. with a parish rosary service at 7 p.m.

Casket bearers were Bob Longwitz, Al Bianchetto, Scott Schwartz and Greg Schwartz, Sr.
