Pollick, Victoria (8 November 1900 – 2 January 1987)
Victoria Pollick, 85, of Black River Falls, and formerly of Merrillan died
Thursday, Jan. 2, 1987 at the Family Heritage Nursing Home in Black River Falls
where she had been a resident the past five years.
Victoria Mical was born in Poland on Nov. 8, 1900. She emigrated to the United
States when she was in her twenties and lived in Chicago for approximately five
years. She married Frank Polick in August 1924 at Alma Center, and the couple
lived in the Town of Dewhurst near Bruce Mound, in Clark County.
Mr. Pollick died in August of 1974.
Surviving Victoria Pollick are two sons, Stanley Pollick of Northbrook IL, and
John Pollick of Elgin, IL,
four daughters, Mary Anne Czarnik of Merrillan, Helen and Frances Pollick of
Chicago, and Sophia Miller of Des Plaines, IL. She is also survived by seven
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Victoria Pollick were Monday, Jan. 6 at 10:00 a.m. from the
Alma Center Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Rev. Alfred Hemersbach
officiated, and burial was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Alma Center.
Friends called on Sunday at Torgerson’s Funeral Chapel from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m.
There was a public
rosary recital at the funeral chapel on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
Pallbearers were Robert Miller, James Czarnik, Vernon Bowen, David Hayden,
Alfred Neumann and
Nick Matalas.
