Oemig, Laurine (14 May 1919 – 13 March 2019)

Laurine Oemig, 99, formerly of Stanley, died Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Cornell Care
Center.

She was born on May 14, 1919 in Stanley to the late Marin and Laura (Larson) Martinson. She married Walter Oemig on July 24, 1940. Laurine worked cleaning homes and for Victory Memorial Hospital for 24 years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, her flower garden and being with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Alice Howe and her son, Dave (Jackie) Oemig both of Stanley, 3 grandsons, Gary (Jenny) Oemig and their children, Carson and Paige, Terry Oemig and Larry Oemig all of Stanley.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Walter (1975).

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at the Plombon Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until time of service Tuesday. Inurnment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
