Orr, Rose “Dee” (11 August 1947 - 29 May 2020)
Rose “Dee” Orr, 72 of Stanley, died Friday, May 29, 2020 at Marshfield Medical
Center-Eau Claire.
She was born on August 11, 1947 at Victory Memorial Hospital- Stanley to the
late Leon and Cora (Kroeplin) Zaszczurynski. Dee grew up in the area attending
schools at St. Michael’s in Chicago, Owen-Withee, Almond, Gilman, Prentice,
Stanley-Boyd and Bremen, IL. She was a waitress and worked some factory jobs.
On May 27, 1995 she married Richard “Rick” Orr at St. James Catholic Church in
Sauk Village, IL. The couple owned and operated American Beauty Limousines until
their retirement when they moved to Stanley. Dee was a member of All Saints
Parish, the PCCW and the Thorp American Legion Auxiliary.
Dee is survived by her daughters, Robin Bartus, Corinna Cavitt, Leeanna “Annie”
Peach and Sharon King, 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one
brother, Fred Zaszczurynski. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Roger
Moore and Rick Orr, her sons, Arthur Cavitt and Michael Bartus and her parents.
A funeral mass was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Holy Family
Catholic Church-Stanley with Father William Felix officiating. Burial followed
in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation was on Monday, June 1, from 5-7 p.m. at the Plombon Funeral Home with
a 7 p.m. Rosary by the Legion of Mary, and June 2 prior to departure to the
church at the funeral home.
