In a recent letter from Portland, Oregon to Henry Johnson, Forrest Wesenberg says the Modern Woodmen are well represented in the West. He says one camp has over 700 members, another over 400, and another over 300. The smallest one has over 150 members. He seems to enjoy the meetings very much.

He says they are having fine weather, garden truck is up and people are setting out strawberry pants.

Forest’s mother arrived safely and is well pleased with the country and climate. She does not think she will be in a hurry to return to Greenwood. She says things are as cheap and some things are cheaper than here, and there is plenty of work and different kinds of jobs to be had.

Forest remarks that he would like to send some of their climate to the Greenwoodites. No doubt it would be acceptable, especially in April and May.
