Claytor, Gloria J. (20 August 1946 – 22 October 2020)

Gloria J. Claytor, 74 of Stanley, died on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Sacred Heart Hospital-Eau Claire.

She was born on August 20, 1946 in Burlington, the daughter of the late Vernon and Marion (Clark) Rubach. Gloria grew up in the area and graduated from High School there. On December 31, 1987 she married Robert M. Claytor in New Orleans. The couple met while Robert was in the Coast Guard. The couple lived in Delaware until 2003 when they moved to Boyd to be closer to their children. After Robert died in 2018 Gloria moved into Sunset Homes Stanley where she’s lived since. Gloria enjoyed crafts and going to the casino.

She is survived by her children, Kevin Pooler of Boyd, Brenda (Ray) Schwark of Cornell and Brian (Kim) Pooler of Alamosa, Colorado, 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, her brothers, Victor, Daniel and Scottie Rubach and sisters, Janine Leverich and Pamela Birdsall.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister, Carol Huss.

Inurnment will take place in the Northern Wisconsin Veteran’s Cemetery in Spooner.
