Kuehni, Anna (8 August 1904 – 6 October 1990)
Anna Kuehni, 86, Stanley, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 1990, at Victory Memorial
Nursing Home, Stanley.
She was born Aug. 8, 1904, in the Town of Delmar, to Anna (Ernst) and Joseph
Bernklau. She grew up in the Town of Delmar. She married Walter Kuehni on June
8, 1927 at her parents’ home. They lived and farmed in Stanley most of their
lives. She was a long-time member of the Marburn Club.
Survivors include her husband, two sons; Elmer (Mary) of Boyd and Melvin (Joan)
of Minneapolis; one daughter, Marian (George) Samplawski of Stanley; two
sisters, Mary (Joseph) Bruha of Boyd and Anita (Herman) Licht of Thorp; nine
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Frank Bernklau; two
sisters, Margaret (Herman) Kuehni and Katherine (Mark) Peterson.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley,
with Pastor Marshall Hall officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the
funeral home.
