Ehlert, Beulah M. (4 March 1925 – 1 November 2020)

Beulah M. Ehlert, 95 of Thorp, died on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Oakbrook Health and Rehab-Thorp.

She was born on March 4, 1925 in Durango, Iowa the daughter of the late William and Clara (Hammel) Launspach. When she was young her family moved north of Thorp. Beulah graduated from Stanley High School and on August 22, 1944 was united in marriage to Howard Ehlert at St. John’s Lutheran Church-rural Gilman. The couple farmed north of Thorp until 1955. Beulah worked for ITT for many years. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and a member of Victory Baptist Church where she loved singing. Some of the things she loved most were having family around her, music, birds, gardening, and puttering in her flowerbeds. She loved the Lord and served Him many years.

She is survived by her children, Richard Ehlert of Vesper, Connie (Ed) Gerl of Marshfield, Susan (Dennis) Romanowski of Medford, Bill (Dawn) Ehlert, Nancy Ehlert, Patti (John) Nowobielski and Brian (Michelle) Ehlert all of Thorp, 24 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, Pamm Ehlert and Connie Ehlert and one sister, Janet Neumeister of Dubuque, Iowa.

Beulah is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howard (1997), her sons, Paul and Alan, her daughter, Judith Mast, a daughter in law, Kay Ehlert, one grandson, Eric Ehlert, one great grandson, Kenny Stoner, one sister, Edna, and one brother, Leroy.

A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the Plombon Funeral Home-Stanley with Pastor J. Pritchard officiating. Burial will follow in the East Thorp Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
