Andrews, George C. – Rev. (3 DEC 1830 – 28 Jun 1902)
The funeral for Rev. George C. Andrews occurred at 10 o’clock Saturday morning,
having been postponed from Thursday afternoon, as announced that it would be
held, in order to give time for Mrs. Thomas’ arrival from the South. The service
was conducted by Rev. W. E. Kloster, Rev. W. T. Hendren assisting, and also
making some appropriate remarks on the life of deceased from a personal
acquaintanceship. The choir, composed of C.R. Scafe, Faye Hunt, Mabelle Rossman,
and H.H. Hartson, sang several selections which were favorite songs and hymns of
the deceased.
The altar and rostrum of the church were beautifully decorated with fresh
flowers, banked and formed into mottoes. The pallbearers were Robert Schofield,
Jesse Crane, Elias Peterson, H.W. Hunt, Henry Huntzicker, and B. F. Thompson.
