Hanson, Reva E. (23 July 1940 – 1 November 2020)
Reva E. Hanson, age 80, of Withee, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at
her home.
Reva was born on July 23, 1940, the daughter of Elton “Jack” and Alice (Potocnik)
Fritz in Owen. She graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 1958 and received a
teaching degree from UW Stout in 1962. Reva was united in marriage to Harry
Hanson on December 27, 1961 in Owen. Reva taught high school English and Home
Economics in Choctawhatchee, FL and Rosholt, WI for a few years. She then worked
as an office secretary in the pathology department at St. Joseph’s Hospital in
Marshfield and at Champlin Oil Company in Enid, OK. Reva enjoyed genealogy and
sewing. Most importantly, she loved and cherished spending time with her
grandchildren.
Reva is survived by her husband of 58 years, Harry of Withee; three children:
Derek (Jennifer) Hanson of Withee, Debra (Steven) Kadolph of Colby and Pamela
(John) Broome of Colby; five grandchildren: Kari Broome, Hailey Kadolph, Emily
Kadolph, Gage Hanson and Connor Hanson. She is further survived by her six
siblings: Susie Jablonic of Madison, Valerie (George) Himes of Omaha, NE, Larry
(Sandy) Fritz of Owen, Sharon (Gary) Weiler of AZ, Laurie (Lavern) Shilts of
Withee and Gary (Christine) Fritz of Owen; many nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Cheyenne Hanson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Maurina-Schilling Funeral
Home of Owen is entrusted with the arrangements.
