Schmidt, Dora (31 AUG 1904)
A very pleasant affair in the town of Beaver on Wednesday afternoon, August 31,
1904, was the marriage of Otto Yankee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Yankee, of
Lynn, and Miss Dora Schmidt, at the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Johanna
Schmidt, in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. The couple
was attended by Messrs. William Schmidt and August Schlingsog, and Misses Lydia
Schmidt and Attllie Yankee.
The ceremony occurred at 2 o’clock p.m. and the impressive words were pronounced
by Rev. Wm. Lange, pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Loyal. After the
ceremony the guests were invited to partake of an excellent wedding feast, and
they were not slow to respond in a manner which gave evidence of their
appreciation.
The young people will reside in the town of Lynn and countless good wishes are
extended to them by their many friends. (Loyal Tribune)
