A. A. Graves of Loyal was in the city Tuesday, and while riding around town with
J. C. Marsh in his auto, a large envelope that he was carrying in his inside
coat pocket fell out and lay in the street in front of Horn’s Drug Store for
half an hour. Finally when Mr. Graves missed it he grew uneasy and began a
search. It was no ordinary package, and when he had the pleasure of picking it
up he breathed easier. The envelope contained $3,000 in bills. It would take a
newspaper man a lifetime to lose that amount. (Marshfield News)
