“Jack” Stevens had his regular annual birthday party at the schoolhouse Monday,
in which all the children participated to the extent of a large package of Candy
from the jolly janitor.
And Tuesday came the time for “Jack” to express his surprise when the teachers
and scholars present him with a fine volume and a box of cigars.
