Walter Moldenhauer, to whom we referred in these columns some time ago as a
genius of no mean ability, has spent most of his spare time this summer in
building a flying machine of the monoplane type. Walter was in town the other
day and took home with him a four cylinder 16 horsepower gasoline engine, which
arrived here from St. Paul last week, and which will furnish power for the
machine. He informed us that the different parts are nearly ready to be
assembled and a trial flight will be made in the near future. Considering the
fact that Mr. Moldenhauer has made a motor cycle and an automobile for his how
use, there is no doubt in our mind as to his success in this undertaking.
