Blomquist, Esther (4 OCT 1911)
The wedding of Albert C. Peterson and Ester E. Blomquist, which was mentioned in
last week’s Gleaner, was attended by a large number of relatives and friends,
there being forty-five present. Those from away were Mrs. Isadore Jolivette and
children and Miss Esther Jolivette of La Crosse, Mr. and Mrs. O.H. Edwards of
Milwaukee, Mrs. John Charles, Miss Live Hanson, Mr. and Mrs. Hakon Hanson of
Neillsville, Charles Blomquist of Rockford, Ill., Mrs. H. Olson, Miss Grace
Hotzfield, Edward Blomquist, and Mr. and Mrs. John Blomquist of Tioga.
The ceremony took place at eight o’clock Wednesday evening, October 4, 1911,
Rev. W. T. Hendren being the officiating minister. The wedding march was played
by Miss Ruth Noetzel. The bride was dressed in white silk and carried white
roses. She was attended by Miss Grace Hotzfield.
The groom was attired in conventional black, and was attended by Charles
Blomquist, the bride’s cousin.
After the ceremony the guests partook of a bounteous wedding supper.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Blomquist of Tioga. She is a young
lady of excellent character and has a host of friends whose best wishes go with
her in her new home. The groom is one of the leading citizens of the Town of
Eaton, where he is now town clerk, an office he has held successfully for
several years past. Mr. and Mrs. Peterson will make their home on the groom’s
farm in the Town of Eaton. The Gleaner extends congratulations.
