Nevala, Larry E. (25 September 1917 - 11 January 1983)

OWEN -- Services for Larry E. Nevala, 65, Jim Falls, who died of an apparent heart attack Tuesday at the home of his niece, Elaine Zudonyi, were today at Maurina Funeral Home, Owen.

The Rev. Peter Thomsen of Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee, officiated. Cremation followed.

He was born September 25, 1917 in the Town of Longwood and received his education at Oakdale School, Town of Hixon. He farmed with his parents until 1947 when he went to Great Lakes, Illinois, to work on Shipping boats. In 1950 he moved to Miami Beach, Florida, where he was employed at the Boulevard Hotel. He had been living with his niece since 1980.

Surviving are three brothers, Toivo and Ray, both of Thorp and Arthur of Greendale; four sisters, Mrs. Segne Lithen of Crystal Falls, Michigan, Mrs. William (Arleen) Kartinen of Roscommon, Michigan, Mrs. Mary Reinertson of Owen and Mrs. Willard (Martha) Patten of Owen; three stepsisters, Mrs. Anna Novak of Wakefield, Michigan, Mrs. Howard (Elsa) Dolmage of Sun City, Arizona and Mrs. Martha Schneider of Milwaukee,
