NEILLSVILLE -- Word has been received of the death of Otto J. Warren, 94, a
former Neillsville resident, died December 26 at Edmund, Washington. He had been
living with his son, Neil.
He was born February 24, 1888, in Minnesota Junction and received his education
there. He and Zayda Newell were married July 30, 1908, in Kenosha.
They were engaged in farming near Neillsville until 1917, when they moved to the
Town of York. He served as town chairman there for 14 years.
He was vice chairman of the Clark County Board for 10 years and a member of its
public property committee for 13 years. He also served on the County Fair Board
for 20 years.
After retiring from farming he was employed as part-time custodian at
Neillsville High School. Since the death of his wife several years ago, he spent
summers here and the winters in Washington.
