Benjamin Griffin, born in Strousbridge, Worchester, England, married Kate
Bradley on Christmas Day, 1872, at Birmingham, England. On October 8, 1879 Mr.
and Mrs. Griffin, with two small daughters, Selena and Edith, landed in America
and came directly to Marathon County, locating in Spencer. Their home on West
Mill Street is now owned by Mr. and Mrs. McGowan.
