Schmidt, Darla Jean (Marriage 1983)

Miss Darla Jean Schmidt, daughter of Mrs. Avery Schmidt, Colby, and Richard Lee Weis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Weis, Route 1, Unity, were married October 30.

The ceremony was followed by a reception, dinner and dance at the Sword.

Matron of honor was Mrs. David Bedroske, Dorchester, and bridesmaids were Mrs. Ronald Uttecht of Birnamwood, Lana Shelley of Unity and Susan Laroque, Abbotsford. Attending the bridegroom were Jeff Weiss, Unity, best man; Brad Krause of Curtiss, Randall Schoezel of Colby and Gregory Weis, Green Bay, groomsmen; and Pat Gennett and Don Schmidt, ushers.

The bride had a white knit and Chantilly lace entrained gown and a fingertip veil of tulle and lace. Her bouquet was comprised of deep red roses with lily of the valley. The bridesmaids had dusty rose fabric and laced caped formals with the matron of honor in a burgundy ensemble. Each aide had a bouquet of a single mauve pink rose surrounded by burgundy carnations and baby's breath.

The bride, a 1981 graduate of Colby High School, works at Colby Cafe, Her husband, a 1980 Colby High School graduate and a 1982 graduate of North Central Technical Institute-Wausau. is am employee of B&J Equipment Inc., Athens.

They are living in Athens.
