Neillsville High School senior Teagen Dillenbeck has been named the first
Neillsville Junior Kiwanian of 2021.
During a Jan. 11 meeting, the Neillsville Kiwanis Club welcomed Dillenbeck as
its Junior Kiwanian for the month. He is the son of Ryan and Larissa Dillenbeck
and has participated in the Club’s Monday meetings during the month.
“With his combination of strong academic achievement, three-sport participation,
extra-curricular activity and volunteering projects, Dillenbeck is a deserving
recipient of this award,” Kiwanian Brent Shoup wrote in a press release. “He is
a member of the National Honor Society, has achieved an A-average and straight-A
honor roll throughout high school and has received academic letters in the years
they were awarded.”
Dillenbecks extracurricular activities include student council officer, fine
arts club member, participating as a class officer and Vocational Industrial
Clubs of America (VICA) member. Sports involvement includes basketball, cross
country and track and field.
Dillenbeck has volunteered his time and efforts in several areas. He has coached
a youth flag football team, refereed youth basketball, and served as assistant
coach in Dads and Lads youth baseball. As a member of York Center Methodist
Church, he has assisted with Vacation Bible School and helped with church
dinners put on by the church.
Work experience includes summer employment as a general laborer for the
Neillsville Cemetery and Parks Department.
“The Neillsville Kiwanis Club takes pride in honoring outstanding students such
as Teagen Dillenbeck, and wishes him luck in his future career path,” Shoup
wrote.
Dillenbeck will pursue a career in the engineering field. While a college choice
is not yet final, possibilities include Milwaukee School of Engineering or
UW-Platteville.
