Djubenski, Michael Jr. (22 October 1918 – 9 October 1976) With Flag
Word has been received the of the death on October 9 in Chicago of Michael
Djubenski, Jr., 57, a former Willard resident. He was the son of Catherine
Zaranski and Michael Djubenski, Sr.
Funeral services were held last Thursday from the St. Hyacinth Church in
Chicago, with burial in St. Albert’s cemetery. Military rites were conducted at
the church and cemetery.
Michael Djubenski Jr. was born in Willard October 22, 1918. He was educated in
the Willard school and grew to manhood here.
He served in Navy for six years and worked in Chicago for 27 years.
He was married in Chicago to Rita Barcher 26 years ago in May. She survives;
also, a daughter, Mrs. Steve (Debbie) Mueller, and two grandchildren. Surviving
also are four sisters, Mrs. Rose Zalewski of Elmhurst, Il., Mrs. Elmer (Antonia)
Orth of Greenwood, Mrs. Felicia LaFlex of Thorp and Mrs. Richard (Mary) Maslanka
of Abbotsford; and three brothers, John and Roger of Willard, and Andrew of
Greenwood.
Those from here who attended the service last Thursday are Mr. Elmer Orth,
Felicia LaFlex, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Maslanka and David, and Roger Djubenski.
