Markham, Earl Gorden (4 September 1925 – 2 September 1976)
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley, for
a former Neillsville area resident Earl Gorden Markham, 50, Stanley, who died
Thursday September 2, at Victory Memorial Hospital. Burial was in Oakland
Cemetery.
Earl Markham, son of Ira and Mattie Markham, was born September 4, 1925, at
Fairchild and grew up and was educated in the Neillsville area. He farmed and
worked at various jobs for a number of years, then worked at the GateCo
Distributing company for the eight years preceding 1974 & retirement due to poor
health.
Mr. Markham was married to the former Helen Beman on September 30, 1967, in
Stanley. She survives, in addition to the two stepsons, Richard Beman of Burton,
MI., and Ronald Beman of Sturgeon Bay, two sisters, Mrs. Victor (Ina) Anderson
of Chili and Mrs. Henry (Mable) Knoll of Granton; one brother Nathan Markham of
Green Lake and three grandsons.
Pallbearers were Ed Thierl, Mel Johnson, Grant Benson, Lester Janisewski, Eugene
VerWeyst and DeWayne Dux.
