Ruhbusch, Rev. William H.
The Rev. William H. Ruhbusch, 112 S. Pearl St. Spencer, who has been serving
Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer, since being installed February 5, 1967, was
born June 11, 1932 at Gresham, attending Hohn School in elementary grades and
graduating in 1950 from Gresham High School. After farming with his father for
seven years, he entered Concordia Seminary, Springfield, Illinois, in September
1957. His vicarage was spent in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, where he
established a new mission in the Glen Elm area, and served St. Paul's Lutheran
Church, Indian Head, in vacancy. Since his graduation from the seminary in 1963,
he served Zion Lutheran Church, Wolseley, and St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Indian
Head, Saskatchewan, before locating in Spencer. He and the former LuAnn V. Krohn
of Wausau were married in 1959. They have five children, John, Lori, David,
Lisa, and Michael. He is serving on the Board of Finance of North Wisconsin
District of the Lutheran Church -- Missouri Synod: pastoral adviser of the
Lutheran Laymen's League, Zone 14; and a member and president of the Spencer
Volunteer Fire Department.
