Lowe, Mildred (? – 15 December 1976)
Mrs. John (Mildred) Lowe, 75, formerly of Merrillan, died December 15, in Eau
Claire.
The former Mildred Thomas married Dr. John W. Lowe June 30, 1925. They retired
in Taylor, where he practiced medicine until 1927, when they moved to Merrillan.
They remained there until 1936, when they transferred to Ashland, where Dr. Lowe
was with the public health service.
In 1939 they moved to Eau Claire, where he practiced until his retirement in
1965. They moved to Scottsdale, Ariz., where Dr. Lowe died in 1971.
Mrs. Lowe was a 50-year member and past Worthy Matron of the Order of the
Eastern Star.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. David (Gretchen) Beede, Minneapolis,
Minn., Mrs. Gorden (Janice) Roberstad. El Paso, Texas, Mrs. Howard (Barbara)
Dunlap, Crystal Lake, Ill., and Mrs. Phillis Hustedt, Pardeeville; a sister Mrs.
Virginia Burkley, of Deadwood, S.D.; 13 grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday afternoon in Eau Claire, and burial was in Lakeview
Cemetery there.
