Pedretti, Very Rev. Raymond Joseph
The Very Rev. Raymond J. Pedretti, 205 Second St. S., Colby, has been pastor of
St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby, since July 2, 1979 coming from St. Mary's in
Richland Center. Pedretti was born December 28, 1928 in Genoa. Raymond Joseph
Pedretti attended Mound Ridge School, Genoa: Salvatorian Seminary, St. Nazianz;
St. Francis Seminary, Milwaukee; and St. John's in Brighton, Massachusetts. On
February 2, 1956 he was ordained at Holy Cross Seminary, La Crosse. His first
appointment was March 1, 1956, as assistant at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic
Church Wisconsin Rapids. and also was instructor at Assumption High School there
until becoming administrator of Holy Rosary Church at Sigel June 22, 1965. On
June 15, 1967 he began preparation studies for mission work in Latin American
and on June 18, 1968 was assigned an instructor at Holy Cross Seminary, La
Crosse. His pastorate of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Richland Center, Began June
1, 1970 and his reappointment to the Board of Diocesan Consultors took place
January 1, 1981
