Two Incumbent School Board members are among the candidates in Loyal's primary to determine candidates for the Board's at-large position. The candidates include:

--E. LaVern Dahlby, 58, is president of the School Board and has been on the Board since 1969. He is district manager of the Equitable Life Assurance Society, Marshfield, one of his five children attends Loyal schools.

--Edna Lindgren, 44, is the town assessor for the Town of Loyal and is a bookkeeper for her husband's construction company. Lindren and her husband have eight children, of which two are enrolled in the Loyal school system.

--Arthur Olsen, 60, has been a school board member for 17 years representing the area north of Highway 98. Olsen, who is semi-retired, is seeking the at-large position because he moved out of his old district. One of his three children attends Loyal schools.
