Baumel, Frieda (20 August 1890 - 19 February 1983)
NEILLSVILLE -- Mrs. Frank (Fried) Baumel, 92, a former area resident, died
Saturday at Memorial Manor Nursing Home, Mondovi, where she resided since 1979.
Services will be Tuesday at the Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville. The Rev.
Howard Ott of United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the
Neillsville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dave Parker, Lawrence Kolbeck, Stanley Pekol, Harvey
Sherman, Elmer Hoesly and Dale Norton.
The former Frieda Sollberger was born August 20, 1890, in Monroe, the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. John (Elizabeth Dubi) Sollberger. She received her education in
the Columbia area, Clark County. She worked in the area for several years. She
and Frank Baumel were married October 11, 1913, in Chicago, where they lived for
42 years. In 1956 they moved to Eau Claire.
Surviving are two brothers, William Sollberger of Neillsville and Ernest
Sollberger of Athens; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by her husband on December 29, 1959, one daughter, June, two
brothers and two sisters.
