Hanby, Roger R. (26 July 1938 – 5 February 2021) With Flag
Roger R Hanby was born on 26 July 1938 to Meta and Richard Hanby in Black River
Falls, WI.
Father and Grand and Great-Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend to many. Roger
passed away peacefully on February 5, 2021 at home with loved ones at his side.
He was a gentle soul and kind man. Roger and his wife, Darlene were united in
marriage on December 13, 1981 in Neillsville, WI where they spent their life
until moving to Mena, AR in 2016.
His life was filled with many interests, including auctions, steam/gas engine
shows/ cream separators and collecting and repairing vintage b-b guns.
He was in the Air Force and spent 4 years at Selfridge Air Force Base in
Detroit, Michigan Maintaining their Flight Jets. He retired from Cummins in
Wisconsin in 2006 after 38 years as a Proto-type Technition.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Hanby; sons, David Hanby, and Keith (Alex)
Turville; daughters, Terry Hanby-Stadler, Karen (Mike) Agee, and Gail Landwehr;
brother, Calvin Hanby; sisters, Devonne (Vivian) Votava, Betty (Jack) Eddy,
Shirley (Bob) Johnson, and Faye Urbanek; special friends, Lori and Mark Shaw;
and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Grandchildren: David (Heather) Pryor, Jamie Halderson, Jesse (Brandi) Halderson,
Travis (Debbie) Halderson, Cheyenne (Chris) Walls, Mariah (Jace) Bryant, Ciara
Hirsch, Michael (Carrie) Apfelbeck, Michelle Kayhart, Rebecca (Brent) Solaire,
Elizabeth (Eddie) Clark, Brittany (Matt) Redetzke, Katelyn Hanby, Nicole Spivak,
and Joanna (Greg) Horn.
38 Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Schallock; mother, Meta Hanby;
and father, Richard Hanby.
Military Graveside Services and Burial followed by a Celebration of His Life
will be held in Wisconsin at a later date.
