Wiesner, Florence Helen (9 May 1940 - 13 February 2021)
Florence Wiesner age 80, of Neillsville, died, Saturday, February 13, 2021 at
the Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire.
Florence Helen Wiesner was born on May 9, 1940 in Neillsville, the daughter of
Emil and Meta (Reetz) Wetzel. She graduated from Neillsville High School in
1958. On May 9, 1959 Florence was united in marriage to Leo L. Wiesner Jr.at St.
John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Following their wedding, she
worked for many years as a homemaker, raising their family. In 1989, she began
working at Figi’s in Neillsville. She worked there until the plant closed down
in 2019. Leo died on September 17, 2020.
Florence was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville.
She enjoyed bowling and fishing. Her and Leo went fishing every Sunday for 15
years even during the winter.
She is survived by five children, Tammy (Gary) Primeau of Neillsville, Annette
(Pete) Edwardson of Plover, Carol (Donald) Mashin of Neillsville, John Wiesner
of Neillsville, and Donald “Bugsie” (Shana Berry) Wiesner of Neillsville, seven
grandchildren, Rollin Mashin, Caleb Wiesner, Sierra Handke and Aaron Wiesner all
of Neillsville, Morgan Edwardson of Plover, Graham Edwardson of Orlando, FL and
Jen (Adam) Stanton of Marshfield, two great grandchildren, Azaylee Janicki and
Taevyn Stanton of Marshfield, and three siblings, Walter (Joyce) Wetzel, Raymond
(Sharon) Wetzel and Karen (Kenneth) Mohr all of Neillsville.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo, her parents, Emil and Meta Wetzel,
a sister, Hazel (Clifford) Roehl, and two grandchildren, Brenda Lee Primeau and
Steven Raine.
A public visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February
27, 2021 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Following the visitation, a
private family memorial service will be held. Pastor Terry Marg will officiate.
Interment at the Town of Seif cemetery and a celebration of life at Apple Valley
restaurant will be held at a later date.
