Hoeft, Karen Jean (23 May 1940 - 14 February 2021)
Karen J. Hoeft, age 80, of Neillsville, died on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at the
Clark County Rehab Center in Owen.
Karen Jean Hoeft was born on May 23, 1940 in the town of McMillan, Marathon
County the daughter of Alfred Albert & Edna E. (Hupe) Knaak. After graduating
from Marshfield Senior High School in 1958 she worked at Rollohome for many
years. Karen went on to work accounting for Keith Marg Rendering and then the
Granton School District driving bus and worked at Sunburst Youth Homes for
several years. Karen loved to roller skate, dance, read and crafting. She also
loved time with her family and friends and animals.
She is survived by a son, Russell Mannigel of Spencer, 4 grandchildren, 5 great
grandchildren, a brother Leon (Maribeth) Knaak of Marshfield, and a sister Marcy
(Michael) Buchholz of Chili.
Karen was preceded in death by a son, Alan J. Mannigel, her parents and a
brother Dale A. Knaak.
The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice and Clark County Rehab Center
for the wonderful care given to Karen.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2021 at
the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville.
