Lavin, Ann L. (31 Mar 1935 – 8 Feb 2021)

Ann L. Lavin, age 85, of Marshfield, passed away on Monday, Feb. 8, 2021, in the care of Atrium Post Care in Marshfield.

Ann was born on March 31, 1935, the daughter of Leon and Verdetta (Swonger) Rhodes in Spring Brook. She attended school in Earl.

Ann married Ken Cook and later divorced. In 1966 she married the love of her life, Morris B. Lavin. They started married life in Spooner, then moved to Taylor County and then to Dorchester.

Ann had worked for the school district in Medford and retired from Meals on Wheels in Clark County. She loved cooking and reading cookbooks but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Ann was also a charter member of the Dorchester Lioness Club.

Ann is survived by her children: Cherri Stevens of Stetsonville, Randy (Nancy) Cook of Grand Rivers, Ky., Kurt (Jill) Cook of Wisconsin Rapids, Larry (Mary) Cook and Diane (Dean) Faude, both of Dorchester, Roxanne (Tom) Hovind of Andover, Minn., Greg Lavin of Markesan, Glenn (Lynn) Lavin of Colby and Michelle (Rich) Davis of Plover; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Leon and Verdetta Rhodes; her husband, Morris Lavin; son-in-law, Tom Steevens; grandson, Ken Powers; great-grandson, Jaxon Cook; and grandson-in-law, Jeff Shannon.

She will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Services will be held at a later date.
