Embke, Elizabeth "Elsie" (2 July 1893 - 15 March 1983)

NEILLSVILLE -- Mrs. Louie (Elizabeth "Elsie") Embke, 89, of the Neillsville Memorial Home died Tuesday at the Home.

Services will be Friday at United Church of Christ. The Rev. Gary L. Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Neillsville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Albert Mohr, Donald Pflughoeft, Leo Pflughoeft, Clifford Karl, Arnold Karl and harold Milbreit.

Visitation will be at Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville.

She was born July 2, 1893 in Germany and came to the United States in early 1920, settling in Stevens Point. She and Louie Embke were married September 25, 1926 in Stevens Point. They farmed in the Town of Pine valley for many tears, retiring in 1959. They then moved to Neillsville. She was a resident for the Memorial Home the past nine years.

Survivors include two sons, Norbert of Neillsville and Walter of Marshfield; and five grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband in May 1961, a daughter, Margaret, one sister and a brother.
